St. Gerome

Based on Caravaggio's Painting of St. Jerome translating the Vulgate, my model, Jonathan was the perfect fit. After researching the Saint, I added more to the story in my painting. The nuns were very fond of him because he was an advocate for women to learn to read. He worked primarily in dark basements. You will see the nuns faintly in the background with light streaming in from above.
